Time Relativity is really a personal experience. Most of the times, when we live great moments with the ones we love, time seems to flow to fast. When we face big challenges or when we suffer in our feelings, times seems to be so long…
Everyone would wish that this would be the opposite. For sure!
At Metabolizm Records, we think it’s possible to switch this over. It’s only a question of perception of time. Our new artist Insomnic created this EP to try to make you understand the different options available for you to see time the way you wish to see it and to live it.
Everything is possible. We just have to stop and listen. We hope you will be happy to live the experience!
No one can control time… But the experience we have going from past to future is our own to understand, live and explore our own and personal way for our happiness and to live the most of our lives.
This EP was created by the artist Insomnic (real name: Nicolas Roberge)
Insomnic is an emerging DJ and producer born in Quebec, Canada. He is a long time music lover of various genres. He took part in the electronic music and rave scene since his youth where he enjoyed and got influenced by Trance, Techno, Acid, Hardcore, Psytrance, Dark Psy, Goa, Forest, Electro; just to name a few.
He has also been into Psytrance music festivals for quite a while now. It a place where he loves to resource himself with positive energy, forget the bad stuff, enjoy the present moments and dance like there is no tomorrow. Outside of partying, he enjoys sports, gaming, sailing races and so much more.
Younger he was kind of the black sheep of the family, the child in the middle and the least musician of the whole family. He was even forced to learn piano against his will!
Only later he became more opened to play music and even decided to learn electric guitar by himself… He was introduced to electronic music production by a friend and never stopped since then but never did it too seriously and mostly kept all to himself.
Once he became more experienced, he really decided to live the Psytrance festivals lifestyle, he decided to make Psytrance even though he always thought it looked too complicated but that's where the fun begins, right?
As he had put more time and efforts into music production, he was then noticed and suggested to take a step forward and release EPs. He is not really into mixing somebody else's music at events and prefer to wait to play his own creations but he's still very able to deliver excellent DJ performances.
He really knows how to position the music leads into a good mix. That’s is one of the key element that gives this unique taste of aggressive, driving and sometimes kind of dark to his progressive Psytrance.
So be prepared to hear shaman's on mushrooms talking with aliens about science fiction and weird stuff!
He's also on starting a Psychill side project for more relaxed moments.
